Description

 A world leader in the supply of airport equipment and services focused on the future and manufacturer of airport ground support equipment, including aircraft deicers, aircraft tow tractors, cargo loaders and transporters is looking for Plant Manager who will be responsible for managing the entire production operation including materials management, welding, assembly, paint, test, shipping, quality control, maintenance, and manufacturing engineering using lean enterprise concepts. 

Responsibilities

  • ·         Develop and administer policies and guidelines applicable to manufacturing operations.
  • ·         Ensures operations meet established objectives safety, quality, delivery, and cost and develops and promotes human resource
  • ·         Coordinates the development as well as the execution of manufacturing schedules, supervises the application of policies, methods and production standards
  • ·         Ensures that products and services meet established goals for safety, quality
  • ·         Development of and the compliance with the manufacturing budget.
  • ·         Responsible for supervision of up to 200 manufacturing employees, managing a $10 million employee expense budget, and a $10 million operating expense budget.
  • ·         Responsible for determining the quantity of seasonal contract employees necessary to meet sales and customer requirements, while maintaining productivity standards. Works closely with Human Resources in managing this temporary workforce.
  • ·         Ensure that the facility complies with all requirements of federal, state, and local laws and regulations covering the generation, storage, handling, and disposal of hazardous waste.

 

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Manufacturing Engineering or another technical discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of Manufacturing management experience
  • Must have an in-depth understanding of manufacturing financial principles
  • Possesses an understanding and has experience with Engineering processes, Safety and Environmental management and Human Resources principles.
  • PC skills and knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software is required
