Title: Production-Rough Carpenter
Reports To: Production Management
Location: Greenwood, SC
Business Outcomes:
- BiltWise houses are completed with high-quality, structurally sound, and aesthetically finished carpentry work.
- Carpentry work is executed with attention to detail and craftsmanship, contributing to the overall excellence of the modular homes.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the construction and installation of framing, drywall, trim, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other carpentry elements in modular homes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents to ensure all carpentry work is completed accurately.
- Perform measurements and cuts for materials such as wood, plywood, and other construction materials.
- Assemble and install walls, floors, roofs, and other building components with precision.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., electrical, plumbing) to ensure seamless integration of all building systems.
- Inspect all carpentry components to ensure quality, structural integrity, and compliance with specifications before site delivery.
- Identify and resolve any carpentry-related issues or defects in a timely manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace to promote efficiency and safety on the production floor.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Strong understanding of carpentry techniques, tools, materials, and construction processes.
- Skilled in the use of hand and power tools, saws, drills, and measuring devices.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
- Problem-solving skills to address and resolve carpentry challenges efficiently.
- Leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a small team or work independently.
- Physical stamina to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, or working at heights.
