Description
The Raw Processing quality Assurance Technician will be accountable for guaranteeing compliance with all Food Safety and Food Quality programs in the raw processing area. Will be responsible for monitoring product-specific quality attributes and safeguards customer and internal quality expectations are met.
Responsibilities
- Verify AQL checks, recipe verifications, and operational checks.
- Assist in physically, chemical and microbiological analyses.
- Verify procedures, sanitation inspections, quality tests, formulation verifications, HACCP checks
- Maintain HACCP, pre-requisite, SQF/SSOP programs
- Conduct routine tests required to ensure the quality and safety of the product
- Collect labels, groups and properly store samples.
- Report and records test results.
- Monitor vendor quality trending and initiate vender communications.
Requirements
- 1+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Capable of lifting 50 pounds
- Knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to understand SOP’s is a PLUS
