Fusion Beads is in its 16th year of providing beads, beading supplies and classes in its Seattle area store. We love being a part of the Seattle beading community as well as the global community through our online store, FusionBeads.com. Fusion Beads is looking for a retail store manager to join our staff of full and part-time associates.
Key Responsibility Areas
Culture and Customer Service
• Plan and direct the day-to-day operations of a retail store
• Ensure customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient
• Develop and maintain positive customer relationships
• Cultivate a welcoming, collaborative, productive, and efficient retail store environment for employees and customers
• Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability
Operational Management
• Manage all operational processes including: class scheduling, ordering, inventory management, sales reporting, repairs and maintenance and scheduling
• Plan in-store marketing promotions, yearly charity auction and other store events
• Manage email newsletter for store sales, new products and community involvement
• Develop and manage crossover processes between our store and online locations
• Participate in monthly leadership and planning meetings as needed
• Develop strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability
• Provide feedback to company management for areas of improvement
Employee Management
• Forecast staffing needs and develop a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas
• Create a work environment where associates thrive in the day to day responsibilities and develop into exceptional customer service advocates
• Provide consistent, timely training in both product knowledge as well as customer service expectations
• Communicate effectively with all associates, including hiring, coaching, training, and celebrating achievements
• Motivate and inspire associates to meet sales and up-selling goals
• Lead monthly staff meetings
Ideal Qualities and Experience
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office
• Prior experience with retail POS systems
• 3+ years management experience in a busy retail environment
• Excellent problem solving abilities and process improvement skills
• Energetic and positive personality
• Passionate about customer service and the ‘WOW’ customer shopping experience
• Proven experience hiring, training, and managing sales associates
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to create a positive work experience for associates
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Innate curiosity to learn, share and grow with our company
