Job Summary: A Home Care Scheduling Coordinator in Massachusetts manages the flow of patient care by scheduling and coordinating home visits, ensuring that quality service is provided. They act as a liaison between the agency, clients, caregivers, and payers, maintaining accurate schedules and information while supporting caregiver and company needs

 

Required Skills:

·        Strong communication skills: Both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with clients and caregivers.

·        Organizational skills: To manage multiple schedules and ensure accurate information.

·        Time management skills: To effectively handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

·        Problem-solving skills: To address scheduling conflicts and ensure coverage.

·        Computer proficiency: Internet skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Axxess experience

·        Experience:

·        Previous experience with high-volume scheduling is highly desirable, especially in homecare or healthcare settings.

·        Experience in an office setting or direct patient care, such as Home Health Care experience, is also beneficial.

·        Highly professional and dependable

·        High school diploma or GED required or Preferred Associate degree

 

Responsibilities:

·        Scheduling: Creating, maintaining, and updating schedules for caregivers, ensuring coverage based on client needs and availability.

·        Communication: Communicating with clients, caregivers, and referral sources, addressing schedule changes, and providing explanations.

·        Information Management: Updating client and caregiver information, managing employee attendance records, and ensuring accurate payroll and billing.

·        Problem Solving: Addressing scheduling issues, handling changes, and ensuring all shifts are covered.

·        Clerical Support: Processing scheduling requests, managing special projects, and providing telephone support.

·       

Other Duties:

·        Manage intake of new referrals/ enter new patients into home care Axxess system

·        Provide office support to field clinical staff, providing them with all required supplies,

·        Consult with clinical managers and clients to provide appropriate staffing solutions

·        Ensures compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations

·        Participates in night and weekend on-call rotation as assigned
