Senior Account Associate, Surety

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Surety Account Associate to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the issuance, administration, and servicing of all types of surety bonds, including contract, commercial, and specialty bonds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surety principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Prepare and issue surety bonds across all categories (contract, commercial, subdivision, license & permit, etc.) as requested by clients
• Review bond request for completeness and accuracy
• Serve as a point of contact for clients regarding bond inquiries, renewals and modifications
• Ensure all activated, documents and correspondence are correct and filed into EPIC & Erlon, including full underwriting information, contact information, Client Executive and Service Team
• Assist Account Manager in onboarding packages 
• Invoice bonds in EPIC concurrent with the issuance of the bond consistent with PLATFORM’s rules and procedures
• Use Surety Company portals and internal systems (EPIC/Erlon) effectively
• Ensure and verify all pertinent documents and correspondence are correct, retained and input into Erlon/EPIC as per PLATFORM’s procedures
• Coordinate with Account Manager/Client Executive to set up clients on e-bonding portals (ie. Xenex Signature Master) and upload bonds to e-bonding portals
• Prepare courier or mail packages for client documents
• Proactively manage workload and escalate to management when necessary
• Assist Account Managers in accounts receivable follow-ups, including preparing Statement of Accounts/Invoices for submittal to the client as a reminder of outstanding premiums due
• Own and be responsible for meeting or exceeding client expectations of PLATFORM

Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Contribute to the development and refinement of internal processes and workflows
• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives
• Stay current with surety industry trends, regulatory changes, and market developments

Education, Experience, Qualifications & Skills

• ACSB (Associateship of Canadian Surety Bonding) Designation or working towards
• Knowledge of Applied Systems EPIC Broker Management system is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office bond management systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to details
• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Work quickly and efficiently
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
