Objective:

WMW Insurance Services is looking for an energetic and experienced individual to join the WMW Insurance Services P&C team.  The main function of this role is to market and manage placement of a book of business and assist the producers in writing new and renewal business.  Accounts can range from fully insured, partially self-funded, and self-insured. 


OPPORTUNITY:

·         Priority to provide critical support to our prospects and customers through marketing account management, day-to-day renewal oversight, and underwriting services that define industry leading sales and service. This position will lead the overall marketing, recommendations, and implementation of a book of insurance business comprised primarily of middle market accounts.

·         You will be tasked with supporting producers with business development and sales to new and existing clients. The job requires a high degree of independent discretion, autonomy, and decision-making based on industry knowledge and experience to provide professional guidance, expertise, and service to clients, professional and collaborative relationships with carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and colleagues.

-         Position is a Hybrid role between home and two local Orange County Offices. One in Fullerton and the other in Newport Beach.

 

PRIAMRY ROLES:

·         Markets and manages new and renewal assigned book of business which is comprised of key and high revenue-producing accounts.

·         Utilizing industry experience and in-depth knowledge of insurance markets, policy provisions, claim processes, business environment, and risk mitigation, applies independent and discretionary judgment to make decisions independent of manager approval on books of insurance business for which the candidate is responsible. These include non-routine coverage issues and questions, renewal strategies for key accounts, and interpretation of non-routine provisions of insurance contracts.

·         Acquires understanding of prospects and clients' business and insurance objectives and critically analyzes and compares insurance plans to determine suitability. When collaborating with producers on appropriate coverage, will assess risks based on clients' situation and determine proper coverage and placement to insure and mitigate those risks.

·         Build strong relationship with both internal and external team members.

·         In conjunction with producer, negotiates terms, conditions, and pricing directly with insurance carriers.

·         For clients requiring special carrier programs determine availability and appropriateness. Then, work with team to consults with clients on the benefits of those programs and secures quotes/options for consideration.

·         Leads resolution of complex placement issues with insurance carriers that require policy interpretation and experience-based judgment to resolve.

·         Regularly leads one on one marketing and renewal meetings with producer that hold schedule within the WMW assigned timelines and workflow.

·         Seeks continued knowledge and stays abreast of changes in the insurance industry and other external conditions that may impact their clients. Makes appropriate recommendations to clients in response to those changes independent of manager approval.

·         Responsible for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.

·         Develops new business opportunities through conversations with assigned producer on existing accounts and assigned leads and contributes to meeting departmental production goals. Identifies opportunities for cross-sell and up-sell of other WMW products and services where appropriate.

·         Appropriately documents conversations with producers, clients and carrier representatives and updates all computer systems and automated agency management systems when necessary. Ensures the accuracy of data in those systems.

·         Possesses mastery of the various WMW and industry resources and tools that are available and utilizes same to best serve clients. Prior experience in the following preferred:

  1. Microsoft Office
  2. AMS360
  3. Indio
  4. ZyWave

·         Travels on company business as required.

·         Prepares reports for management as required.

·         Attends industry related continuing education training and courses.

·         Performs other duties and projects as assigned.
