Senior Environmental Engineer

Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opening in its Oakland, California office for a Senior Environmental Engineer. The successful candidate will coordinate projects and perform environmental engineering analyses; develop, or assist in developing, and review remedial designs; keep abreast of environmental engineering advances; mentor junior staff and serve as Senior Engineer; provide superior client relationships; assist management with marketing efforts; provide ongoing training to engineering staff; provide direction and review of engineering work products; and review and sign engineering reports.

Education and Registration:
The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering, an MS degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and be a registered Civil Engineer.

Required Skills and Experience:
Ten or more years experience, preferably with an environmental consulting firm performing duties described above. Candidate should have a thorough understanding and knowledge of environmental engineering and regulations in the state of California and have relevant state engineering registrations. The successful candidate will have working experience with environmental engineering and remediation activities including landfills, UST/petroleum, chlorinated solvents, metals, and pesticide contaminated sites. The successful candidate will have experience and expertise with excavation, soil-vapor extraction, groundwater extraction with aboveground treatment, Cat-Ox, GAC, air stripping, air sparging, advanced oxidation, reductive dechlorination, bio-augmentation, and other remediation technologies. The successful candidate will have competence with statistical analysis and quantitative human health risk assessment as applied to site remediation and closure. Candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic.
