DESCRIPTION

As a member of a leadership team.  Will partner with the manager director of manufacturing in order to develop the site’s journey and actions plan, then successfully coordinate and execute the plan. The right hand of the director of manufacturing with coordinating the building of Op-Ex capabilities and ensuring the development and execution of productivity and improving cost plans.

RESPONSIBILILTIES

• Making recommendation and developing projects.

• Hands on individual in on aspects of department.

• Get up to speed quickly.

• Execute and develop plans to support the roll-out and education to the total site, communicate corporate standards and information.

• Produce progress reports to corporate about the site, also provide gap analysis.

• Coach and lead focusing on improvements for activities and teams.

• Implement daily work standards involving daily direction setting meetings, clean, inspect and lubricate standards, change overs and basic problem solving and root cause analysis.

• Ensure continuous improvement and document work standards and changes are promptly communicated to all to ensure consistency.

• Go to resource for the site associates, answering questions directly.

• Teach the concepts of value add vs. nonvalue add and eliminate waste.

   

  QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field required

• 5 + years’ experience in packaging, manufacturing and/or logistics required.

• Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

• Hands on experience using modern operation excellence and continuous improvement methods (LEAN, TPM, 6 Sigma, TQM)

• Six Sigma Black Belt certification.

• Can work independently and meet deadlines.

• Work with a team, emphasizing working together.

• Very strong leader with excellent verbal and communication skills.

• Mastery knowledge of calculations, analysis and reporting KPI’s, including overall equipment effectiveness.

• Experience of working for an Op-Ex oriented company

  5 + years of management experience.

• HACCP & OHSAS 18001 Certification
