Sr. Manager, Corporate Development & Structured Finance

THE POSITION
The Sr. Manager of Structured Finance & Portfolio Management is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations, and management of the month end close process, monthly reporting, technical accounting research, contract review, policy implementation and documentation, and all relevant support for audits and tax compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead negotiations and structuring with financing counterparties for large-scale solar assets, including raising tax equity, construction debt, term debt, and other financial products
- Manage performing all aspects of transaction execution including project marketing, negotiation of financing terms, investor due diligence, structuring and financial modeling, internal project management
- Running routine meetings with third party capital providers and lenders and maintaining relationship
- Build out and oversee Fund Management Team including but not limited to: accurate external and internal fund reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, Tracking and ensuring compliance of all of our obligations under the fund transaction documents,
- Updating financial models of existing tax equity funds and debt facilities on a monthly basis
- Prepare and maintain complex energy project models to be used for valuation, scenario analysis, optimization, marketing and third-party presentations and negotiations.
- Prepare offering materials, including powerpoint presentations and offering memoranda
- Prepare analysis to support business development opportunities such as new markets, customer segments or technology applications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience building and maintaining complex financial models and executing on financial transactions, including negotiations and closings related to project financings, equity or debt offerings, M&A or similar transactions. Experience at top tier investment bank, private equity firm, corporate development team or project development experience preferred.
- Detailed understanding of renewable energy tax equity and debt structures, including understanding of merits and structure of partnership flip and lease pass through tax equity structures.
- Strong financial modeling skills
- Strong communication skills required. Must be able to clearly articulate and communicate complex financial information and issues to management and investors.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, fun to work with, quick to laugh, “can-do / failure is not an option†approach to work
EDUCATION
MBA preferred.
