Urban Furniture Outlet is seeking a motivated and experienced Store Manager to lead the daily operations of our New Castle location. In this role, you will work closely with ownership, the General Manager, and your Assistant Manager to ensure a seamless and high-quality customer experience. You will be responsible for managing store staff, driving sales performance, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the store.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Ensure a top-tier shopping experience by promptly resolving customer concerns and maintaining high service standards.

  • Supervise and train staff to deliver consistent, professional customer service.

Operations & Reporting

  • Review daily sales orders and run regular performance reports (daily, weekly, monthly).

  • Analyze store performance, set sales goals, and assess staffing and inventory needs.

  • Oversee vendor transactions, including purchase orders and credits.

Communication

  • Share updates on goals, promotions, and products with staff through meetings, memos, and training sessions.

  • Promote a positive, informed, and collaborative store culture.

Marketing & Community Outreach

  • Represent Urban Furniture Outlet in the community and build partnerships with local organizations to generate new leads and brand awareness.

Merchandising

  • Oversee showroom presentation and product placement.

  • Monitor sales trends to optimize merchandising strategies and adjust inventory displays accordingly.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and manage product demand and stock levels.

  • Make stock adjustments as needed and conduct periodic inventory checks.

Store Maintenance

  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment.

  • Manage supply needs and coordinate maintenance efforts.

Staff Management & Scheduling

  • Delegate tasks and manage daily team activities for both sales and warehouse staff.

  • Ensure adequate coverage and hold staff accountable for performance.

Training & Development

  • Assist in onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Participate in employee hiring, mentoring, and, when necessary, termination decisions.

  • Lead by example and support individual growth and store-wide success.

Leadership

  • Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Assistant Manager.

  • Take full responsibility for staff, customer service, and facility management.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma (required)

  • 1–3 years of retail sales and/or management experience

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (preferred)

  • Furniture sales experience (preferred, not required)
