TCCC Instructor

$25.00 to $30.00 per Hour. Pay based off experience and qualifications
Position Outline:
- This is a Contract Position and a great way to supplement your full time income.
- Courses are currently being held once per month but may increase with demand.
- Each course will be held for two days with Instructors assisting based off of their availability and course needs.
- If you do not have your TCCC instructor or TCCC provider we are willing to train you. You must however have a Military or a Law Enforcement background.
Job Summary:
- Report to the Lead Instructor and assist with setting up training materials, and preparing the live fire training exercises.
- Teach, evaluate and supervise students during TCCC course training and examination period.
- Provide real world application of instructional material during simulated live fire scenarios and hands-on training breakout sessions.
- Serve as a team leader during simulated live fire exercises and provide real-time instructor feedback during the three-phase of TCCC care.
- Provide constructive feedback about each TCCC course taught and provide advice for future improvement of the course and its content.
General Accountabilities:
- Initiates, facilitates, and moderates classroom discussions.
- Assist in the preparation of course materials, equipment and simulated training scenarios
- Copies and distributes classroom materials.
- Informs students of the procedures for completing course material.
- Supervises students during simulated live fire training and hands-on skill sessions.
- Proctors examinations.
- Evaluates and grades students' final exams
- Prepares and delivers lectures to students on relevant topics.
- Collaborates with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
- Advises students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
- Plans, evaluates, and revises curricula, course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.

Job Qualifications
Required
Education:
- Certification from a Community College or University showing completion of an approved Paramedic or EMT Program.
Experience:
- If you are only an EMT you must either have previous military service or be actively working as a Law Enforcement Officer.
- At least 3-5 years as a uniformed police officer (Or)
- Honorable discharge from any military branch (Or)
- 5 years or more working in a high volume EMS service or HEMS program with a tactical background.
Certifications:
- NREMT Paramedic or EMT certification
Preferred
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor degree in a field focused on Prehospital Medicine or any other health related field.
Experience:
- 2-3 Years instructing TCCC or similar trauma/tactical courses.
- Previous overseas deployments to hostile locations doing operational work outside the wire.
- If not previous military, 3-5 years experience with Tactical Medicine or Operations through a police SWAT team or its equivalent.
- Actively engaged in overseas contracting, with the military or other PSD companies, with missions requiring work outside the wire
Certifications:
- NREMT Paramedic or EMT
- FP-C or its equivalent
- Texas EMS Instructor
- TCCC Instructor
