This sales role is best suited to someone versatile who can step in where needed across both markets based on workload and business requirements, working closely with both branch teams to manage customer inquiries, quoting, order follow-up and relationships remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

Order and Account Management

• Process customer orders, quotes, returns and inquiries accurately and within established turnaround times.

• Respond to customer inquiries with accurate product, pricing and availability information to drive new and repeat sales.

• Interpret customer requirements against product specifications (size, schedule, pressure class, material grade) to recommend suitable pipe, valve and fitting products.

• Source and quote non-stock or special order items through approved vendor channels within target turnaround times.

• Track order status and shipment dates, expediting as needed to meet customer delivery expectations.

Customer Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain customer relationships remotely, working closely with both the Edmonton and Langley branch teams.

• Proactively contact existing and lapsed accounts to identify upcoming project or maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) needs.

• Follow up with customers after the sale to confirm satisfaction and resolve any complaints or service issues.

• Keep CRM records current and accurate, including sales calls, customer contacts and meeting details.

Cross Market Coordination

• Shift focus and coverage between the Alberta and British Columbia markets based on workload and business requirements.

• Work closely with both the Edmonton and Langley branch teams to provide sales support wherever it's needed most.

• Communicate demand fluctuations to the purchasing department to support inventory planning.

• Monitor back-order and allocation situations for high demand products and proactively communicate impacts to affected customers.

Compliance and Professional Development

• Adhere to Quality, Health and Safety requirements, company policies, and ISO standards and directives.

• Apply product knowledge and effective selling strategies to enhance sales performance.

• Remain current with industry trends and continuously improve personal sales expertise.

Why Join Our Team?

• Unique Opportunity: Gain exposure across two markets and branch teams in a versatile role built around variety and initiative.

• Stability: We've been a Canadian, family owned distributor since 1976, with branches across the country.

• Competitive Compensation: We offer a competitive salary and benefits package that reflects your experience and skills.

• Growth & Development: Build expertise across industrial PVF sales at a growing distribution company.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong industrial inside sales experience, ideally within industrial distribution, PVF or a related business to business (B2B) environment.

• Working knowledge of pipe, fittings, flanges, valves and stainless products is strongly preferred.

• Comfortable managing customer inquiries, quoting and order follow-up in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated success developing and maintaining customer relationships remotely.

• Strong customer service orientation with a consultative approach to selling.

• Effective listening, communication (verbal and written), negotiation and telephone skills.

• Sound knowledge of sales operations, including logistics, policies, procedures and product.

• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and CRM or ERP software.

• High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability.

• Results driven attitude with the versatility to work across two markets and branch teams.
