Trailer Mechanic- SHOP2

American Transportation Services has an immediate opportunity for Trailer Mechanics. We are looking for experienced Trailer Technicians who are looking for a stable work environment with more work than you'll know what to do with! This position will focus on meeting and maintaining our customers’ expectations as well as maintaining their equipment up to DOT standards. Technicians must maintain a modern fleet for a Fortune 500 package delivery company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 2-5 years trailer mechanic experience. Experience in performing Trailer PMs and most common trailer repairs.

• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and parts.
• Must work safely and maintain a safe workplace environment.
• Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

• Meets daily with Shop Manager, Shift Supervisor and/or other operations personnel to discuss filling upcoming orders and demands for equipment.
• Fills out repair orders to record all work performed and all parts used to ensure proper billing to customer.
• Turns in paperwork to the office staff DAILY.
• Common repairs and required preventive maintenance of trailers.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance on equipment.
• Must be able to complete the minimum of 8 hours of billable work DAILY. (enough work will be provided to make this task very achievable)
• Other duties may be assigned.
