Engineer

In this role, you'll play a key part in designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge solutions that drive progress and make a real impact- specifically in the design and manufacturing of frames and glass doors for refrigeration units used in convenience stores and grocery stores.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, document, implement, and execute manufacturing processes and controls.
- Manage, develop, and improve manufacturing standards for manufacturing controls, testing, and equipment.
- Evaluate and implement innovative, cost-effective and safe manufacturing processes/techniques to improve operational effectiveness.
- Develop manufacturing planning, initial tooling requirements and costs, capability requirements, control plans, and assessments that facilitates the definition and specification of manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot new or existing product issues related to designs, materials, and processes, providing technical expertise and leadership for timely resolution.
- Optimize manufacturing flows, workstation layouts, and station controls, to improve operations, operating costs, and product/process quality.
- Collaborate with various functional team members to enhance design for manufacturability and seamless integration.
- Conduct root causes analysis using statistical methods and recommend design and/or process improvements.
- Update and standardize specifications and drawings.
- Work toward achieving ISO certification.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree relevant to Manufacturing Engineer or 10 years of relevant manufacturing experience (required)
- Experience with a variety of industrial controls and applications
- Basic understanding of test system functionality or programming (product control system functional testers, electrical quality testers, product performance testers)
- Experience in programming, graphics setup, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and servicing of process/test equipment
- Understanding of mechanical systems in semi- and fully automated industrial applications
- Strong computer literacy with high numerical accuracy
- In-depth knowledge of root cause analysis
- Experience in AutoCad or 3D modeling software
Additional Skills and/or Knowledge:
- Knowledge of aluminum extrusions, insulated tempered glass, and electrical wiring requirements for doors and frames
- Excellent technological communications and strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ISP 9001 experience
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Experience in new product launches and project management
- Knowledge of life cycle cost analysis, dimensional capability analysis, and capacity analysis
- Adaptable to both office and manufacturing floor environments
Compensation:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.
