Veterinary Technician or Assistant Needed

Join our "family" at Kittel Family Veterinary Practice in Elk Grove and enjoy a great work-life balance.  We've been open since 2010 and have recently hired a second veterinarian, so we need to increase our support staff.  We are open 6 days a week with extended evening hours on Wednesdays and Thursdays.  We are closed on Sundays and all major holidays.   Applicants MUST have small-animal veterinary technician or assistant experience, and be able to work independently in order to be considered for this position.  Applicant must have solid skills in patient restraint, blood draws, IV catheter placement, administering injections, and monitoring anesthesia.  We currently need someone who can work afternoons, evenings, including some Tuesdays and Saturdays.  We are a paper-light office with an electronic medical record system and online pharmacy.  Our practice atmosphere is very family-oriented and client-focused, so we are looking for someone with great communication skills who can help us educate our clients.  We have very low employee turn-over, and our team really enjoys what they do, so our practice atmosphere is happy & healthy; come see what it's like to work for a fun and progressive practice with people who enjoy coming to work.  We are looking to fill this position immediately.
