JOB TITLE: Production Employee

REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor
Summary:
A production worker is responsible for the timely and efficient processing of Fruits and Vegetables. This employee is expected to work safe, smart and be conscious of yield in any product they handle.
Essential Job Functions:
· Must be able to read and write in English (or Spanish)
· Prepare Fruit and Vegetables using hand held cutlery for further processing.
· Maintain a clean, well organized work area.
· Adhere to the company’s established production procedures.
· Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are adhered to at all times.
· Follow all in house Standards Operating Procedures.
· Immediately report any observation of contamination to their supervisor.
· Follow and comply with company’s safety program at all times.
· Report any and all unsafe working conditions to the supervisor immediately.
· Maintain productivity at a consistently high level.
· Able to lift up to 25lbs consistently throughout the shift.
· Stand for the duration of entire shift (can be 10+ hours)
· Able to work in a noisy, wet and cold environment of approximately 34-38 degrees
· Communicate mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
· Employee must be knowledgeable of all different cuts and products
· Ensure prep tables/trim lines are cleaned between product changeovers.
- Keep your Supervisor informed of any problems
- Notify Supervisor of any unsafe practice
- Do not attempt to open an electrical panel
- Do not connect or disconnect any equipment unless you have been trained
- Do not spray direct water to a motor or an electrical panel
- Do not move any equipment unless you have been told and properly trained (disconnect first)
· Perform additional duties as required or assigned.
