Senior Financial Analyst
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking a qualified and available Senior Financial Analyst to support a prospective Federal client in Silver Springs, MD. The position is full-time, long-term, and available upon contract award.
TASKS AND DUTIES:
- Provide information management and data analysis support to the Comptroller at NMRC.
- Prepare and analyze the weekly Navy’s Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS-FL) Status of Funds (SOF) Report every Monday for the current fiscal year
- Prepare and analyze a monthly Status of Funds Reports on the first Friday of each month for prior fiscal year.
- Research budget and funding problems using STARS-FL as a legacy system, NERP and other data sources and provide input on courses of action to senior leadership to achieve resolutions.

- Assist the Comptroller with conducting quarterly reviews (first week of each quarter) to ensure all databases, spreadsheets, reports, and forms are up-to-date and electronically available to the Comptroller.
- Develop PowerPoint presentation and data updates.
- Assist the Comptroller with workbook template development, data collection, and final report presentation for each of the various business plans, budget exhibits, and financial plans.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or at least eight years of related experience.
- Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) audit readiness.
- Solid understanding of the Bureau of Medicine (BUMED) enterprise is not required but is preferred.
- Understanding of Navy Enterprise Reporting Planning (NERP), Standardized Accounting & Reporting System (STARS-FL), DTS, Wide Area Workflow (WAWF), and all Government accounting procedures as directed by the NMRC Comptroller is not required, but preferred.
