Perfusionist

Posterity Group LLC is seeking four (4) experienced Clinical Board Certified Cardiac Perfusionists to provide onsite Perfusionist Services for the eligible beneficiaries at the Veterans Administration Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANOHS), located at 10701 East Blvd Cleveland, OH.

 Salary Range: $155,000 - 175,346

Description:

• Assembles supplies and equipment in preparation to accept patients. Other services include preparation, maintenance and operation of VA owned equipment.
• Documentation into the patient’s electronic health record will immediately follow each procedure.
• Perfusionist shall provide advice on system management of the ventricular assist devices and ECMO circuits to ensure optimal performance.
• Examines patient medical history and chart, and consults with surgeon or physician to obtain patient information needed to set up heart-lung machine and associated equipment
• The Perfusionist shall be a contributor in the Quality Assurance/Management of the hospital.
• Perfusion related data is collected, examined and discussed amongst the cardio-thoracic team members for the purpose of identifying areas for improvement.
• The Chief Perfusionist shall set technical and professional direction of all Perfusionists performing work at the Memphis VA and shall participate in case conferences and coordinate with the VA to ensure appropriate clinical protocols are put into place.

Qualifications:

• 10 Years of experience.
• Experience shall be demonstrated in the following areas: open heart surgery, heart lung machine, membrane oxygenation, left/right heart bypass, intra-aortic balloon pumping and centrifugal ventricular assist device.
• Graduate of a Perfusion training program accredited by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (APCB)
• Must be within 30 minutes of the facility.
