Job Summary:

The Marketing Manager develops, implements, and executes the company’s marketing strategy.  Coordinates the company’s advertising campaigns with sales activities.  Provides content and marketing collateral to support sales efforts with dealer relationships.  Develops and supports collaborative marketing efforts with dealer network.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

  • Manage Sales Lead Process with a goal of maximizing Sales Lead Submittals: Direct email campaigns, managing Ad agency, Google AdWords campaigns, website RFQ submittals, etc.  Implement and maintain internal process for all employees to provide adequate lead information to dealers.
  • Manage paid advertising programs in domestic and international markets.  Utilize various ad formats including search, display, video, remarketing, and mobile to reach target audience.  Conduct keyword research and optimize campaigns for maximum performance.  Experiment with different ad platforms and projects based on activity in the market.
  • Manage the overall monthly ad budget, ensuring efficient allocation across campaigns.  Monitor campaign performance and make recommendations for adjustments based on evolving business goals.
  • Marketing Content: Generate creative, attention-grabbing content for emails campaigns, social media, and articles.  Utilize a content calendar to coordinate releases across all platforms.  Shoot, edit and post photos and videos of Morse products to explain features and benefits.
  • Dealer and End User CRM Databases: develop, maintain and optimize for sales and marketing purposes.
  • Implement and manage an online tracking and reporting solution to monitor website traffic and visitor behavior.  Provide detailed insights on visitor location, source, pages viewed, and other relevant metrics.  Customize reporting options based on company size and industry to provide actionable insights.  Utilize the tracking solution to identify and categorize visiting businesses.
  • Retrieve email addresses from matched companies and facilitate lead generation efforts.  Manage filters and lists to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of web traffic.
  • Website Content: Develop, post, optimize, analyze, and update website content to accurately portray and promote Morse products, options, accessories with all documentation and information regarding regulatory standards adherence.  Work closely with IT Manager on website development and optimization.
  • Product Literature: Develop and update printable operator’s manuals (incorporating parts lists diagrams provided by engineering department), spec sheets, etc.  Design, layout, print and distribute printed catalog.
  • Product Development: Coordinate with Product Development Engineer for new product introductions - ensure accuracy and completeness.  Provide ideas for new and/or improved products to market.
  • Monthly Marketing Meetings: Conduct monthly marketing meetings to coordinate work and brainstorm with ad agency, digital marketing agency, and Morse team. 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager’s supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, making hiring recommendations, instructing and training in work methods, planning, scheduling and assigning work, and checking and approving work.

Education and Experience:  

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Five or more years experience in marketing, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in managing paid advertising campaigns, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Proficiency in digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Bing Ads, and social media advertising.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with online tracking and reporting solutions is a plus.

Special Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license required for occasional travel.  Ability to obtain a passport for international travel.
  • Ability to travel to trade shows as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2 year time span.
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Prior marketing development and product launch and deployment.
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
  • Technical skills in strategic planning and marketing, business and market development, market research and planning and promotions/advertising.
  • Must work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Must have a strong interpersonal skills and good judgment and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Excellent computer skills including all MS Office applications. (Word, excel, outlook, PowerPoint) required.
  • Must be fluent across a variety of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Houzz, YouTube, blogs, etc.), including creation of sites and content calendars, posting, measuring, and monitoring results.
  • Ability to produce digital images and video for marketing campaigns and the Company website.
  • Must have strong customer support orientation (for internal/external customers), demonstrated professional demeanor, and the ability to maintain confidential information. 

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Close mental and visual attention to prepare and analyze data and figures, perform moderate to heavy administrative work using a computer, read and comprehend manuals and procedures.  Requires some judgment to work independently toward general results based on precedent and/or established criteria.
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, perform repetitive hand motion, finger, grasp, handle, feel, push, pull, and reach.  The employee will occasionally crouch, kneel, crawl, bend, climb and/or balance.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and over 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds frequently for product demos.

Work Environment:

Work is performed in a typical office environment with occasional exposure to the manufacturing floor.
