Medical Receptionist per diem - Chillicothe

We are currently seeking an experienced medical receptionist to join our team at our new Chillicothe Treatment Facility an outpatient Medically Assisted Treatment facility that just opened. Hours are part-time with one shift of 6 AM to 2PM during the week and alternating week-ends from 6 AM to 9AM.     

Pinnacle Treatment Centers is a leading comprehensive provider of substance abuse treatment services to individuals that are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol. Founded in 2006, the Company has grown into an organization that operates over 30 substance abuse treatment facilities in five states (Kentucky, Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Virginia) with additional sites under development in Ohio, Indiana, and Minnesota.

Pinnacle treats over 10,000 people daily and provides a full continuum of care, including detoxification, residential, outpatient, and transitional living programs. Treatment includes treating the individual’s physical, spiritual, emotional, and psychological selves. Pinnacle is CARF accredited and all locations include physicians, nurses, clinicians, administrative, and support staff. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Preferably business school training.  Minimum of high school diploma. Prior healthcare experience preferred, in a substance abuse treatment environment.Experience in collecting fees and cash reconciliation, preferably in a drug treatment, bank, or similar setting.Experience in clerical/secretarial skills including but not limited to word processing, using a computer, filing.Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Able to accurately type at least 50 words per minute.Excellent organizational skills Knowledge of CPR and Basic Life Support and to be culturally competent.

SUMMARY:This position demands strong interpersonal skills when dealing with potential clients, referral sources and visitors.  The receptionist must have a professional inviting demeanor when answering and directing incoming calls.  The position also requires a multi-tasked individual with the ability to work independently.

DUTIES: Responsible for billing window during medicating.  To collect client fees and record payments.To run daily deposit log detail report. To reconcile client fees collected with cash deposit on Daily Cash Log and then give money collected, Daily Deposit Log Detail Report, and Daily Cash Log to Executive Director. To inform clients of all required associated treatment information appearing as alerts such as urine sample collection, counseling holds, and medical holds.Type correspondence reports, etc. as directed by Program Administrator  

Answer telephone, and assist staff during intake hours as needed.Be knowledgeable of and enforce agency policies and procedures.To possess the knowledge and understanding of how to recognize and manage an opiate overdose.To understand the clinical benefits and limitations of urine screens, toxicology, and other testing procedures.
