Receiving/Warehouse Person- FT
This position requires operation of forklifts and power jacks. Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: This position is responsible for receiving incoming merchandise for our farm market, which includes assisting to unload, receive, price incoming merchandise and putting
it away.
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure trucks are unloaded in a timely fashion.
- Check-in/receive all merchandise, verify accuracy of order, record any discrepancies.
- Maintain receipt log for all deliveries.
- Put away merchandise in appropriate storage locations.
- Rotate inventory.
- Organize and maintain warehousing areas.
- Communicate to Department Manager any changes/updates in scheduling, deliveries, etc.
- Safely operate forklifts, power jacks, pallet jacks
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Obtain/maintain forklift certification.
- Computer skills/Data Entry or aptitude to learn
- Math skills, ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Ability to read and write in English, follow directions.
- Must be able to work independently and as a team player
Physical Requirements: Standing for 8+ hours, lifting a minimum of 50 pounds, walking, sitting, bending, kneeling, twisting, turning, full range of motion in arms and legs, good finger dexterity, working in fluctuating temperatures- both heat and freezing.
