Job Summary

  • Develops and maintains relationships with new and existing clients and provides them with products and services that ensure client satisfaction

General Accountabilities

  • Develops profitable and sustainable sales growth of all assigned accounts.
  • Assigns goals to be met at specific time intervals.
  • Identifies new business opportunities, initiating communication with decision makers.
  • Develops relationships with clients.
  • Conducts reviews on accounts on regular basis to evaluate clients' needs to match with appropriate products and/or services.
  • Conducts regular review of promotional activities to enhance and identify development potential.
  • Prepares and reports market analysis, competitor analysis and market trends.
  • Ensures that clients know how to use the products and services and provides assistance if necessary.
  • Develops plans and implements strategies for all assigned accounts.
  • Manages day-to-day client communications and relationships.
  • Resolves customer concerns.
  • Prepares sales proposals.
  • Works with suppliers to expand opportunities for clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Inventory Control Assistant

  • Orders and maintains adequate inventory of supplies, equipment and materials.
  • Contacts vendors to ensure on- time delivery of ordered materials.
  • Surveys vendors to ensure purchases comply with policies, regulations and good purchasing practices.
  • Documents inventory by utilizing a log or computer database.
  • Receives supplies, equipment and materials, marks prices and stocks inventory facility.
  • Maintains organization and cleanliness in stockroom.
  • Ensures incoming materials are inspected against orders for correctness, quantity, type and damages.
  • Arranges for return of defective materials.
  • Distributes supplies, materials and equipment to the unit's offices and facilities as appropriate.
  • Prepares necessary paperwork to ensure proper billing.
  • Maintains current inventory records of materials in stockroom and on order.
  • Prepares inventory reports and distributes to appropriate personnel.
  • Performs a variety of clerical or back office duties as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Buyer Assistant

  • Advises department heads regarding purchase and supply requirements, specifications, quantity and quality of merchandise and delivery needs.
  • Assists clients in obtaining proper specifications, quotations, delivery terms and costs.
  • Explores and recommends alternatives to save or improve delivery.
  • Solicits and analyzes quotations for new or nonstandard items.
  • Recommends or approves awarding of contracts or purchase orders.
  • Places purchase orders based on assigned authorization or signing limit.
  • Surveys vendors regarding pricing, availability and delivery times to determine best and/or possible new supply sources.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: Associate's Degree is required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Two (2) years of related experience preferred.
