DESCRIPTION

Will balance internal design effort with initiatives to identify, organize and engage in external collaboration based on current needs. Will lead the characterization and development of formulations for the delivery of oligonucleotides based on a broad set of approaches and technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with internal and external team to meet milestones within established time and budget parameters.

• Contribute, identify and manage external formulations collaborations.

• Manage research associates internally and externally as well as scientist.

• Accountable for project success and results delivery.

• Work closely with R&D partners and groups in conducting efficacy and formulations studies.

• Reporting of R&D findings internally and externally.

   

  QUALIFICATIONS

• Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical sciences or related field.

• 6+ years of experience and proven track records of success in oligonucleotide formulation, analytical evaluation and related technologies.

• Knowledge of formulating OLIGONUCLEOTIDES for vivo delivery, and deep understanding of lipid based delivery systems required.

• Strong foundation in maternal science, pharmaceuticals, chemistry or chemical engineering.

• Experienced project leader with the ability to lead a team with agreed upon milestones within established time and budget parameters.

• Independently designs, develops and executes research, contributing to multiple projects

• Provide technical directions to staff through coaching, training and sharing of expertise.

• Knowledge of constructing concise presentations aligned with company strategy, author publications or patens and present externally.

• Understanding of adjacent areas such as the Nano-technology space for drug delivery and biologics.

• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.

• Experience with process engineering and cGMP.
