Job Description: The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with the client, and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will also coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, and settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.

Education: B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering), M.S. preferred

Required Skills: The desired candidate will have 4+ years experience in geotechnical consulting. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and familiarity with the local engineering practice. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional Engineer registration is required. Must have a current valid driver’s license and must have U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
