Project Geotechnical Engineer

Ninyo and Moore, Geotechnical and Environmental Sciences Consultants, is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Geotechnical Engineer position in its Greenwood Village, Colorado office. The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, including meeting and interacting with clients and managing budgets. The Project Engineer will also coordinate and participate in field activities, including logging of borings, test pits, trenches and cores; evaluation of geologic and seismic hazards; forensic evaluation of distressed structures and failed slopes; perform liquefaction, slope stability, settlement analyses; and prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and reports. Experience with construction and grading activities is strongly desired. Prior experience with geotechnical forensic consulting for insurance claims and litigated matters is a strong plus. Duties of the Project Engineer will also include providing technical support to staff-level engineers, geologists and field technicians.

Education: B.S./B.A. required (Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering), M.S. preferred

Required Skills: Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) registration with an emphasis on geotechnical engineering is required. The desired candidate will have a minimum of four years experience in geotechnical consulting. The ideal candidate will bring local experience and a knowledge of geotechnical engineering practice in Colorado. Candidate should be a team player, be detail oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have a current valid driver's license and must have U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status.
