Senior Contract Specialist
Cameo Consulting Group, LLC, a management consulting practice based out of Alexandria, VA, is seeking a qualified and available contract specialist to support a potential Federal client. The position is full-time, long-term in nature, and available upon contract award.
General Duties:
Performs a wide range of contract/grant administration functions to assist the Government Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO) in acquisition planning, preparation of acquisition strategy plans and briefings, preparation of Justification and Approval (J&A), source selection plans and other contractual documentation. Maintains copies of contracts/grants, staffs all requested changes and determines if change applies to other contracts/grants. Supports contract/grant closeout actions. Responsible for assisting with the planning, preparing, and maintaining of the current acquisition plans and overall program office acquisition administration functions to include program control and tracking.
Shall support the contracting officer in the procurement of supplies, services including the full range of contracting functions including:
- Planning simplified and complex acquisitions
- Prepare all pre-solicitation documentation and post-award documentation, including acquisition plans, evaluation criteria, terms and conditions, CLINS, determinations and findings, memorandums for record, award summaries, pre/post-negotiation memorandums, award decision documents, solicitations, requests for information, requests for quote, requests for proposal, source selection support, synopsis development, PWS/SOW development.
- Perform contract closeout functions
- Negotiation of prices and contracts with industry
- Cost and price analysis
- Research, analyze and review applicable policies, guidance, and regulations to support customer and CO.
- Provide procurement advice, assistance, and guidance to customer
- Communicate effectively and professional to internal and external customers.
- Award of time and material and fixed price purchase orders and contracts
- Administration of contracts and closeout
- Procurement of supplies and services.
- Utilize PALT for expected completion time for processing actions
- Advise acquisition team as needed on price, cost, and financial related matters.
Qualifications for Acquisition Roles:
- 12 years of Federal Contracting Experience Required*
- 24 credit hours in Business or Business-related field OR BA/BS*
- Prior Federal Government Contracting Experience (1102 or contractor)
- Ability to perform all pre-award and post-award contracting functions independently
- Cradle-to-grave contracting experience
- Any experience with supporting Federal agencies is a plus.
- Contract Closeout and Simplified Acquisition Experience
- Knowledge of the FAR, especially, FAR 8, FAR 12 and FAR 13
- SAM/FBO/GSA e-Buy Experience
