DESCRIPTION
Will provide technical direction and leadership for commercial analytical services by developing, implementing and maintaining all technical aspects of the laboratory analyses.
RESPONSIBILIES

Have complete knowledge of the principles of organic, inorganic physical chemistry and microbiology, including qualitative and quantitative analysis.

Working knowledge of chemical laboratory procedures, techniques, instrumentation, equipment and laboratory safety.

Proficient in instrument analysis, including volatile and semi volatile analysis, chromatography (GC/MS, GC-ECD, HPLC), spectrophotometry, metals analysis by ICP & ICPMS, wet chemistry and microbiological analyses.

Build strong relationships with clients through direct interactions.

Work with Lab Director to lead plans, organize and support the activities and resources related to developing and implementing methods, as well as processing, analyzing and reporting the sample data, consulting project management staff and clients as needed.

Provide customer support.

Support the Quality Assurance Officer

Evaluate competencies and technologies of staff and facilitates where necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Degree in Science preferable Environmental Science.

8 years of prior commercial laboratory experience.

8 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Knowledge of EPA and Standard Methods methodologies.

Ability to conduct analysis and read, interpret and report technical data.

Knowledge of sensitive or highly technical inquires.
